Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1 RC1 釋出了, 這個版本修正了許多會造成 Crash 的問題。而正式 Release 版推測將會於月底推出。

會有這篇文章的出現, 其實都要感謝「CK.」的邀請函, 才讓我有機會一窺「Windows Live Messenger」的面貌。

「MSN Messenger」自 8.0 版起將正式改名為「Windows Live Messenger」早已不是新聞, 在網路上也已經有許多人的試用心得, 因此在此就只貼出一些圖片來與大家分享。至於「Windows Live」在網路上也是一堆文章介紹, 因此我也不多費唇舌了。(因為這實在是已經 Lag 很久的消息, 因此請大家見諒了)

大方的 Google 在 2006 年一開始又有新的禮物送給大家了, 這次推出的是「Google Pack」。顧名思義, 這是一套軟體合輯, 包含了一些 Google 推出的軟體及一些其它的軟體。

其中值得注意的是「Google Pack」包含了「Norton Antivirus 2005 Special Edition」這套防毒程式, 並且提供了 6 個月的病毒碼自動更新服務。另外「Ad-Aware SE Personal」這套著名的廣告及木馬移除軟體也包含在其中。

如果你認為所附的軟體太多, 不想要全都安裝也可以自己選擇想要安裝的軟體。有需要的人快點去下載吧!

眾所矚目的「Mozilla Firefox 1.5」中、英文版已經正式發佈了, 並且官方網站位址在 Mozilla 基金會成立公司後, 正式由「.org」搬到「.com」下。

由於台灣和美西時差有十幾個鐘頭, 所以可能是在台灣時間今天半夜或是明天發佈。真令人期待啊! (發佈後我就不另寫文章通知了, 請大家自行到官網「監看」! :P)

Mozilla 官方在剛剛釋出了 Firefox 1.5 RC3 的版本, 這個版本主要修正了自動更新功能的一些 Bug, 有在使用 1.5 Beta 及 RC 版的人快去更新吧!

Mozilla 官方在剛剛發佈了 Mozilla Firefox 1.5 RC 1, 距離 1.5 正式版推出的腳步又更近一步了。另外, RC 2 版預定在本月 11 日發佈。由於兩版時間相近, 因此正在用 1.5 Beta 2 版的人要不要更新就請自行決定了。至於一般較不急於嚐鮮的使用者, 就請等 1.5 正式版發佈再更新也不遲。

1.5 RC1 Release Notes:

• Automated update to streamline product upgrades. Notification of an update is more prominent, and updates to Firefox may now be half a megabyte or smaller. Updating extensions has also improved.
• Faster browser navigation with improvements to back and forward button performance.
• Drag and drop reordering for browser tabs.
• Improvements to popup blocking.
• Clear Private Data feature provides an easy way to quickly remove personal data through a menu item or keyboard shortcut.
• Answers.com is added to the search engine list.
• Improvements to product usability including descriptive error pages, redesigned options menu, RSS discovery, and “Safe Mode” experience.
• Better accessibility including support for DHTML accessibility and assistive technologies such as the Window-Eyes 5.5 beta screen reader for Microsoft Windows. Screen readers read aloud all available information in applications and documents or show the information on a Braille display, enabling blind and visually impaired users to use equivalent software functionality as their sighted peers.
• Report a broken Web site wizard to report Web sites that are not working in Firefox.
• Better support for Mac OS X (10.2 and greater) including profile migration from Safari and Mac Internet Explorer.
• New support for Web Standards including SVG, CSS 2 and CSS 3, and JavaScript 1.6.
• Many security enhancements.
• List of notable bug fixes since Firefox 1.5 Beta 2.

其實早在 10 月 19 日就發佈了, 本來沒打算寫的, 可是看到一堆人都是搜尋「MSN Messenger」而連到我這來, 所以還是寫一下好了, 快去更新吧!

就在剛剛, 我把 Firefox 由 1.0.7 升級到了 1.5 Beta 2, 這一切都得感謝「Nightly Tester Tools」。

透過 Nightly Tester Tools 的幫助, 讓原本不相容於 1.5 Beta 2 的擴充套件都有辦法在 1.5 Beta 2 使用。這其中包括了幾個對我比較重要的擴充套件, 現在我無法使用的廣充套件只剩下一兩個無關緊要的套件了。

急著想升級成 1.5 Beta 2 又不想等擴充套件的開發者更新套件的人, 不妨試試它。
